The Friends of Galveston Island State Park hosts a Beach Exploring event every Saturday in the spring. You will explore the beach as you learn to seine, hunt for ghost crabs, beachcomb and more. While the event is free, there is a fee to get into the state park. The fee is $5 per adult and children 12 and under are free. You can also purchase an Annual Parks Pass that will get you in any Texas state park for a year for $70. Wear water shoes and beach clothes.
