Hike Cullen Park

In Northwest Houston close to the Energy Corridor is Cullen Park which runs from Bear Creek Park west. The hiking and biking trail is a well-maintained concrete path that is a 7.6 mile out-and-back hike that runs past picnic areas, soccer fields and more. It is good for all skill levels and is ideal to take small children on their first bike ride out of the neighborhood. While you can use the trail year-round, be aware that the park is part of the flood plain and as such will flood during and after heavy rains. It is supposed to flood to detain the water from entering homes in and around the park and neighborhoods south of Houston. Grab the whole family and head to Cullen Park for a very pleasant afternoon outdoors.
