Hike Kleb Woods Nature Preserve

Kleb Woods, located in far northwest Harris county, was part of a family farm owned by one of the original German descendants to the Cypress area in 1840. It became a nature preserve in 1994 and has grown ever since. There is a nature and history center, picnic areas, restrooms, a hiking trail and campsites. The trail is 2.3 miles in includes two small loops that take you through woodlands, wetlands, and an old homestead. While this is a very easy strolly hike it does let you see what far west Houston must have been like over 100 years ago. Some of the trail can be under water after a heavy rain so take caution. Bring plenty of bug spray and enjoy.
