Kayak Clear Creek Paddle Trail

This is one of the most beautiful wild streams in the Houston area. It has been compared to streams in a rain forest and parts of it also resemble the Big Thicket. An abundance of wildlife can still be viewed at any section of this stream however the lower section is heavily used for motor boating and jet skiing and is not recommended for kayaking and canoeing. Most of the mid-section of the creek is great and has large pines and hardwoods along the banks. You can venture up the mouths of several smaller creeks flowing into Clear Creek. Closer to Challenger 7 Memorial Park, some wetland areas can be paddled around as well. This 11 mile one way paddle is split up into different sections starting at 1776 Memorial Park and ending at Challenger 7 Memorial Park. Check the Bayou Preservation Association website for maps and descriptions of each section.
