Train to be a Prairie Storyteller

Our local prairies need trained storytellers to serve as ambassadors between these misunderstood grasslands and our vibrant, diverse community. Join Katy Prairie Conservancy Wednesday, March 25 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 28 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for training. The Wednesday event will be at the offices at 3015 Richmond Avenue and the Saturday event at Buffalo Bayou Park. KPC calls special storytellers Meadowlarks and acknowledge that they are critical to raising awareness and appreciation of our prairies. So, whether you’re leading a RangerTrek Tour on the Flat Out Wonderful Katy Prairie or teaching Houstonians about an inner-city pocket prairie, like Buffalo Bayou Park, this is the training for you!

You will receive a special two-part training starting with an evening prairie and interpretation basics class and ending with in the field training and tour on the newly renovated Buffalo Bayou Park near downtown Houston.

Click here to register. Registration includes BOTH parts 1 and 2.
