The new White Oak Bayou trail was dedicated July 9 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Mayor Annise Parker. The new trail by the Houston Parks and Recreation Department runs from Alabonson Road to Antoine Drive. This new hike and bike trail is part of the first of six TIGER (transportation investment generating economic recovery) grant-funded projects in the city. For those living in town, you just might be able to ride your bike to work instead of drive. No traffic, great exercise, fresh (relatively) air.
Bayou City Adventures offers kayak rentals for only $5 per person. For more information visit ...read more
