Spring Equinox Star Party

Houston Arboretum

Come experience the spring equinox with members of the Houston Astronomical Society and their impressive assortment of telescopes at the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center Saturday, March 21 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. You will head to the Arboretum’s meadow to view Jupiter, deep sky objects, and nebulae including the Pleides, the Eskimo, and the Great Orion. Wine, bubbly beverages, fresh fruit and a variety of cheeses provided. There is a charge so call the Arboretum for prices. Children between the ages of 5 and 12 are welcome. Check the weather forecast before heading out. Of course if it is too cloudy, visibility will not be great and it may be best to do this another time. If you get to the Arboretum early, you can talk a short hike around the grounds to see the spring plants budding, flowering and leafing.
