Hike George Mitchell Nature Preserve

The George Mitchell Nature Preserve  is a 1,700 acre nature preserve set aside for the enjoyment of the community and to protect one more piece of land along Spring Creek. As part of the Montgomery County Spring Creek Greenway, this park will help connect and protect up to 12,000 acres of forest on both sides of Spring Creek from Burroughs Park to Jesse H. Jones Park. It is located at 5171 Flintridge Drive in The Woodlands in Creekside Village. The park is very wooded offering great shade and a much cooler hike than sunny hikes. It has a 2 mile hiking loop and 3 miles of bike trails on a natural surface. An additional 5 miles of rustic trails are available at the Creekside Forest Drive trailhead in The Woodlands Village of Creekside Park. There are also paths leading to Bedias Lake and Spring Creek.
