Sign Up for Park to Port Bike Ride

Hermann Park and the Houston Port Authority share more in common than just the bayou system that links them—they were both founded in 1914. Thanks to significant improvements underway, 35 miles of trails along the bayou will soon allow bicyclists to ride all the way to the Houston Ship Channel. The Park to Port Bike Ride is a celebration of this development. This annual event is scheduled for October 3. Sign up with the Hermann Park Conservancy and support one of the best parks n the state. The ride features three routes: 12 miles, 24 miles, and 42 miles. Riders will start in Hermann Park and stop for a mid-ride party at the Port of Houston featuring fire hoses spraying colored water, music, and food. After the ride, head over to Buffalo Bayou Park for the Grand Opening of the new park features for more food, music, and fun.
